COMPENSATING SYSTEM FOR INTERFERENCE WAVE

PURPOSE:To secure elimination of the interference wave by giving the adjustment to both the phase and the amplitude of the auxiliary antenna so as to obtain the minimum correlation between the output of tha auxiliary antenna and the composite output of the auxiliary and main antennas. CONSTITUTION:The control is given to the amplitude and the phase of the interference wave which is the output of auxiliary antenna F2 via amplifier G, phase shafter I and attenuator (amplifier) J each. And then the interference wave is compounded with the output of main antenna F1 through compounder unit H. Shifter I is then actuated to give the comparison through correlating unit K to the correlation between the output of unit H and that of antenna F2, and then the adjustment is given to secure the minimum correlation. At the same time, attenuator (amplifier) J is actuated to give adjustment in the same way to the amplitude so as to secure the minimum correlation. In such way, shifter I and attenuator J are actuated to supply the signal featuring the same amplitude as and opposite phase to the interference wave component contained in the output of the main antenna from the auxiliary antenna. Thus the interference wave can be negated.
