<p>PURPOSE:To make the force of inertia to instantaneously evolve, to improve the bitability, and to reduce the space, by making faster the circumferential speed of the work roll driven by the auxiliary motor that the circumferential speed of the work roll driven by the main motor, at bitting the material into the work rolls provided with the main motor and the auxiliary motor. CONSTITUTION:The power of the main motor 8 is transmitted to the work roll 1 through the reduction gear 7 and the spindle 4. On the other hand, the power of the auxiliary motor 11 is transmitted to the work roll 2 through the flywheel 10, the reduction gear 9 and the spindle 5. Now, before the rolled material 3 is bitten into the work rolls 1, 2, the work roll 2 is rotated at faster circumferential speed than the circumferential speed for the rolling work. Next, when the rolled material 3 is bitten into work rolls 1, 2, the entire force of inertia of the work roll 2 at this moment is given to the rolled material 3 which is hereby smoothly bitten into work rolls 1, 2. Then, the work roll 2 is rotated at slower circumferential speed than that before bitting.</p> |
