PURPOSE:To enable high speed copying, by adopting the flat scanning system to read-in section and drum scanning system to recording section. CONSTITUTION:The original to be copied is placed on a plane, the picture on the original is split into n sets toward X and into m sets of unit picture toward Y almost orthogonal to X, the video elements of n sets included on one line toward X are simultaneously read in, and the n sets of video elements read in are sequentially recorded on the recording paper 7 spanned on the drum 8 rotated in synchronizing with the read-in operation. During the recording operation, the n sets of video elements included on the next line toward X are read in simultaneously, and the n sets of video elements read in are sequentially recorded on the recording paper 7. The read-in and recording are sequentially and repetitively made toward y and as to m sets of lines. |
