PURPOSE:To eanble accurate signal transmission with low redundancy, by arranging the data of M words of one-word N bits into M rows and N columns, and constituting the transmission data through the production of the parity code with each bit unit longitudinally and with tilted direction. CONSTITUTION:When the information data S11-S1N...SM1-SMN (M<=N) in which the data of 1-word N bits consist of M words, is located of the matrix of M rows and N columns, the parity codes P1-PN produced from M sets of data of each bit unit arranged longitudinally and the parity codes R1-RN produced from M sets of data of each bit unit arranged with tilted direction without duplication constitute the digital signal. In the transmission of the signal with this constitution, if the two data Sjk, Sj(k+1) in succession are in error, since the parity code of Rk, Rk+1 and Rj+k, Rj+k+1 shows different value from normal value, the error in the succesive data is detected, enabling the error correction. |
