PURPOSE:To raise the accuracy of assembly as well as the efficiency of operation by the procedure in which a base metal plate is fastened to the central part of a filament laid at the top of a hollow disk and then the surface of the base metal plate is covered with an electron-radiating substance and its both sides are cut off to make side electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The cathode supporter 12 provided around the insulating cylinder 11, which is a stepped metal cylinder whose tip has a hole and whose sides have mutually symmetrical notches 13 leading to almost central part, is attached to the glass or ceramic hollow disk 14 provided between the cylinder 11 and the supporter 12. Also, the head 17 of the spring 16 attached to the recessed portion of the supporter 12 and the spring of the supporter are welded at the head 18 on the opposite side and the filament 19 is laid through the head of the cylinder. Then, the base metal plate is welded to a position along the axial center of electron gun on the filament 19, its surface is coated with the electron-radiating substance 21, and then the notches 13 are cut off as shown by the dotted lines to make the electodes on both sides. |
