PURPOSE:To prevent the wear of a specified pin and the damage of an driving circuit by a method wherein a selection of one of a plurality of printing pins installed in a printing head is changed with each other when one of the printing pins is selected to perform a printing of a plurality of parallel ruled lines. CONSTITUTION:The number of n of the printing pins 3a, 3b...3n are arranged side by side at the head end surface 2 of the running printing head crossing with a feeding direction of the printing paper 1 in such a direction as crossing at a right angle with a running direction of the printing head. When the first ruled line 4 is to be printed, at first the printing pin 3a is applied to perform a printing operation. Then, when the second ruled line 5 is to be printed, the printing pin 3b is applied to perform the printing operation. In this case, a feeding of the printing paper is performed in such a space as provided by a subtraction of a length or a distance from the pin 3a of the applied printing pins from a predetermined space. In this way, the ruled line is printed by changing the applied printing pins in sequence, resulting in that a frequency of application of each of the printing pins is made to be uniform. |
