<p>The appts. has two channels, each incorporating a sinusoidal waveform generator, an amplifier and a pair of electrodes. The output of each amplifier is supplied to a respective threshold circuit, the outputs of which are coupled to a common coincidence circuit. This is coupled to a second coincidence circuit with its other input coupled to the output of a temporary delay element. This output is also coupled to a second delay element, the output of which controls key switches in both the signal channels between the generator and series amplifier. The appts. is used for cardiac defibrillation and allows the process to be synchronised with the patient's electrocardiac signal.</p> |
