<p>The suspension is for may types of vehicle and uses a spring (4) and a hydraulic automatic stabiliser for vibrations. It has three telescopic parts (1,2,3), one (3) being a type of plunger piston which pushes liquid in the lower part (2). This rises in a channel (6) in the piston into an annular chamber (7). Spring compression follows, giving a damping action. It is possible to balance between two wheels by interconnection between the suspensions. A simplified version can be made for light vehicles and for these the spring can be inside the wheel.</p> |
