<p>PURPOSE:To simplify production process and improve the yield of production by irradiating a modulated energy beam to a dye material thereby melting the dye material and forming a color element layer. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 7 is modulated by a light modulator 2 by the modulating signal of a modulation controller 8 and is entered to a condensing lens 3. The convergent light of the laser beam having past through a lens 3 focused at a dye material layer is horizontally polarized by a rotary polyhedral mirror 4 and is further deflected in a perpendicular direction by a galvanometer rotary mirror 5 driven by a galva-drive system 6, whereby the transfer of the dye material is accomplished. The modulation of the laser beam causes the dye material of the dye material layer to melt in the predetermined portions of a color element acceptive layer 10, thereby forming a color filter. This process eliminates the need for forming a mask for supporting for every dye element, also eliminates the need for wet treatment for the purpose of mask formation, makes the process for production simple and, consequently, enables the yield to be improved.</p> |
