PURPOSE:To remove foreign matters effectively out of a developer, by recovering the developer moved to the end of a magnet roller from the developer moved in the direction reverse to that of rotation of the magnet roller. CONSTITUTION:In removing foreign matters out of developer 2, drive of magnet roller 3 is first stopped, only sleeve 2 is rotated in the direction of arrow b, developer De on the circumference of sleeve 2 is removed, and developer De is not supplied with bucket roller 4. On starting of rotation of roller 3 and at the same time on moving blade 11 to an operation position, developer De fed to sleeve 2 is moved in the direction of arrow d, foreign matters t, p in developer De moved at high speed, arrive at blade 11, matters t, p are deposited, scraped down with blade 11, and recovered in recovery tank 12. |
