The heavy duty bicycle has the front - and rear wheels supported in sprung forks (11,20) which are braced on the frame by telescopic dampers (13,25) surrounded by spiral springs (14,26). The main frame has a horizontal bar (1) and a lower V-shaped subframe (2) linking the crossbar to the crankcase. The main frame is made from tubular section. The front of the crossbar has a sleeve (3) for the front forks, with the upright tube (4) bent at its lower end to curve over the rear of the front wheel and form the rear support pivot for the front forks. The machine is suitable for cycle cross work and the suspension ensures good contact for the wheels over rough ground.
