PURPOSE:To enable an exact position to be detected with both the ends of a board piece, by forming the board piece, fixed to a moving body, with both its ends each separately finely adjustable in position. CONSTITUTION:Board pieces 7a, 7b provided on a moving body, e.g. a moving optical stand in a copier are detected on both their ends with position detecting element 14, and position detecting signals are produced. These board pieces 7a, 7b are partially overlaid on each other, and both their ends 7c, 7d can be separately microadjusted. When the moving body moves in the right direction, end face 7c of the finely adjusted board pieces fixed to the moving body causes a position detection signal to be produced, and when in the left, end face 7d causes it to do so, permitting exact position detection to be secured in moving in both the directions. |
