PURPOSE:To stabilize the detection output of the surface electrometer of a photosensitive drum by mounting the electrometer to the framework of the device by way of a cushion member and so constituting the device that the vibrations of the outside or the device do not act upon the electrometer. CONSTITUTION:The base bed 101 of a surface electrometer 67 is fastened to a mounting member 115 as a framework of the device by means of two screws 117 via a cushion member 116. The cushion member 116 is made of a material of insulation characteristic such as soft rubber. The mounting member 115 is so grounded as to prevent the electrometer from being affected by the noise produced there. The base bed 101 of the electrometer is fastened to the mounting member 115 by means of the screws 117 via insulation washers 118. Since in this way the electrometer is prevented from being affected by the vibrarions of the outside or the device and is held insulated from noise, the same voltage as that of the part to be measured of an electro-optic body 47 is stably induced in a chopper electrode 108 and a shielding member 102. |
