PURPOSE:To exclude the danger of a cutting edge and to protect a share point from contact with a body, by providing a protecting member that covers or exposes the cutting edge according to the opening-closing state of a cover. CONSTITUTION:When the button is pushed for replacing roll paper 6, cover 13 covering roll paper 6 rotates around hinge shaft 14 at 90 deg. together with currer 10 to open the upper of roll paper 6, so that roll paper 6 can be replaced easily. Although share point 10a of cutting edge 10 of the cutter may be touched by the hand of the operator or a body easily in this state, tip part 15a of protecting plate 15 as a protecting member protecting the cutting edge is proyjecting from share point 10a of cutting the edge 10, so that the danger of the cutting edge of the cutter will be eliminated. Further, while cover 13 is closed, protecting plate 15 is staying behind share point 10a of cutting edge 10, so that although cutting edge 10 can cut roll paper 6 easily, there will be no danger. |
