PURPOSE:To control the shape of the rolled material, by interposing the intermediate roll between the backup roll and the work roll so as to place its center on the downstream side in a distance from the draft line of the backup roll, and by installing the horizontal bending device for this intermediate roll on the shifted side. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate rolls 5, 6, are interposed between upper and lower backup rolls 3, 4, and upper and lower work rolls 1, 2, so as to place their centers on the downstream side in a distance from the draft line of upper and lower backup rolls 3, 4. During the rolling work by this rolling mill, upper and lowe work rolls 1, 2, cause the distortion so as to escape toward the shifted side. For controlling the sheet shape by utilizing this distortion, the push rolls 7 are installed for horizontally pushing the intermediate rolls 6 which then push the rolling line shifted to the downstream side on the outer surface of the work rolls 1, 2; these push rolls 6 are supported by the backup rolls 8. Hereupon, the transfer device 10 is operated for adjusting the pushing force for the push roll 7 through the backup roll 8; the displacement of the pushing force is transformed into the vertical displacement, and the distortion of the work rolls 1, 2, is freely adjusted along their longitudes. |
