PURPOSE:To obtain a complete leak-resistance all over a facing wall by a method wherein a thick joint part is built by adhesives between the upper and lower plates of a joint part. CONSTITUTION:Facing sheets 7, 7a are fixed through an adiabatic layer or a low- temperature-retaining pipe 9 on the inside of the outer wall 2 of a storing tank for a low-temperature fluid such as LPG and the like. Sheet metal such as alminum is used for the facing sheets 7, 7a and the edge part (b) of a joint part or an overlapping part 8 is bent upward by about 25mm. and about 30 degrees. Adhesives 11 are filled under pressure into the space 10 of this joint part and fixed. Therefore, the more external pressure is given to the joint part, the more properties of a wedge are shown and the more the adhesive force is increased. Even though the internal liquid leaks from the body, it does not permeate into the low-temperature retaining layer and sealability against liquid can be maintained. |
