PURPOSE:To improve durability and output performance by providing a plurality of grooves on the surface of a solid electrolyte partition wall. CONSTITUTION:A sintered tube body 1 of an oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte is prepared, which is made by molding the powder of oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte such as stabilized zirconia to a tubular molding, which is closed at one end 22, and has a collarlike part 21 on the outside circumference, then forming a plurality of grooves 71 in an axial direction on the outside lateral surface 3 and sintering the molding. A porous thin film electrode layer 4 and a ceramics porous protecting layer 5 are successively deposited and formed on the outside lateral surface 3 of said body 1. As a result, the porous thin film electrode layer 4 and the ceramics porous protection layer 5 are firmly secured and stabilized to the outside lateral surface by grooves 71 and the metal layer of the groove 71 parts becomes thick, thus the improvement in output performance is achieved. |
