PURPOSE:To perform preheating with good efficiency without imparing the life of a die by passing hot wind from the sprue of a stationary die into a cavity and exhausting the same from a spacer. CONSTITUTION:A spacer 3 is positioned between both dies 1 and 2, and is inserted up to the joint face of the stationary die 2. Both dies 1, 2 are taken out from the inside of the casting machine to the outside and are set in the predetermined positions on a die setting base 4 along the positioning block 5. An air-mixed gas is sent to a gas burner 6 and is then ignited. The flame of the burner 6 ascends in a combustion cylinder 7, and the atmospheric air 14 in the surrounding is sucked and mixed into the flame from the preset clearance between the stationary die 2 and the combustion cylinder 7. The hot wind 15 is sent from a sprue 8 into the cavity formed by both dies 1, 2. The upper part of the movable die 1 is closed by ejection pins 11. The hot wind 15 ascends in the cavity and successively heat exchanges, thence it is released into the atmosphere through the exhaust ports of the spacer 3. Both dies 1, 2 are heated by the hot wind 15 from the inside. |
