PURPOSE:To surely announce the approach of the termination of a battery life and prolong the battery life as well by reducing the alarm sound producing time according to the predetermined consumption detection of a power supply battery. CONSTITUTION:When a battery 11 is consumed of its rated capacity and its voltage comes down below the predetermined value, the output of a voltage detecting circuit 12 inverts to a low level, causing a high level signal to be applied to an AND gate 46 via an inverter 45. On the other hand, an FF30 is set by the coincidence output of the alarm arrival time by a coincidence circuit 19, by which AND gates 34, 37 are opened; at the same time, an initial address generating circuit 31 is activated, whereby musical sound information is read out from an ROM35. At the same time, the set output of the FF30 is applied to the AND gate 46 to open the same. The FF30 is reset by the signal phi2 outputted by a second counter 16 via this gate 46 after counting of 10 seconds, whereby the melody sound such as alarm produced simultaneously with the starting of 0 second counting of the counter 16 is stopped 10 seconds after. Hence, the approaching of the battery life is surely announced, and the extension of the battery life is intended as well. |
