The universal shaft joint is partic. for the shaft coupling on the drive shaft to the rotor of a screw-type eccentric pump, having pivot pins, one of which fits in a transverse bore at the end of the coupling shaft. Two such pins (12,15) are provided, one turning in a hollow head on the coupling shaft or the rotor and having at the middle a recess accommodating one end of the coupling shaft (14), the latter pivoting on the second pin (15). The second pin is accommodated in the first one, at right angles to the lengthwise axis of the latter.
