PURPOSE:To simplify an hour-strike mechanism by a method wherein the engagement of a horizontally-moving lever moved horizontally by a driving piece arranged around the rotary shaft of a clock mechanism with an aslant-moving lever crossing the horizontally-moving lever is made by the driving piece, while the disengagement is made by the contact of the pin of a disc rotating unitarily with the hour-strike mechanism with the horizontally-moving lever. CONSTITUTION:The horizontally-moving lever 32 horizontally moved, against a spring 24, by the driving pieces 24 and 25 provided around the rotaty shaft 3 of a clock mechanism and the aslant-moving lever 39 crossing the lever 32 and actuated somwhat weakly in the direction opposite to a spring 34 are engaged with and disengaged from each other in the direction of horizontal motion. The engagement is made by the driving pieces 24 and 25, while the disengagement is made by the contact of the pin 21 provided on the disc 20 rotating unitarily with the hour-strike mechanism with the tip of the horizontally-moving lever. The circuit of a motor 19 for driving the hour-strike mechanism is closed at the time of engagement and is opened at the time of disengagement. |
