PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a specific user (specific information processing device) to exclusively use a printing device, and to suppress inconvenience of another user (another information processing device) which is caused by exclusive use of the printing device.SOLUTION: A printing device, when receiving a request for exclusive use from an information processing device (for example, PC), permits exclusive use by a requester PC for the request for exclusive use. At that time, it informs the requester PC of possibility of exclusive use by transmitting an exclusive use permission notification (S530), and further, it transmits an exclusive use state transition notification even to another PC other than the requester PC (S520).
