<p>The chords, and a continuous strutting structure of deformed strip material, are incorporated in a straight welded double lattic girder, pref. between 500 and 1500 mm. high. The nodal-plate type strengthening of weld joints for the interfacing nodal or turning points of the two lengths of serpentine struts (30,40) is in the form of a full-length centred chord (60), passing through the struts via holes of similar cross-section in this area, and for flanking them on both sides. It is welded to them where it passes through or flanks them. Movement caused by offsetting is effectively absorbed without additional strut-loading.</p> |
