<p>Improved wear member (15) useful in protecting the bottom edge portion (14) of the sidewall (11, 12) of an earthworking member (10). Removable pins (33) may extend through the U-shaped bottom bight portion (25) of the wear member (15) and the bottom edge portion (14) of the sidewall member (11, 12). The pins (33) may be locked against axial displacement by locking rings (35) received in inwardly opposed recesses (34) of the legs (26, 29) of the bight portion (25). A heavy half arrow shaped wear member (16) may be secured to the frontedge of the sidewall member (11, 12) above the U-shaped bight bottom portion (25). This design has the advantages of being simple, economical of construction and allowing for fast replacement of the wear member (15). </p> |
