PURPOSE:To separate floating suspension effectively depending on the siphoning effect by raising a pressure reducing separation tank above the liquid level of tanks including concentrated sludge discharging tank while a pressure reducing force is generated in the pressure reducing separation tank by its own weight of the liquid. CONSTITUTION:Valves 10a and 10b are opened and the pressure in a pressure reducing separation tank 3 is rendered negative with an air pump or the like through an exhaust pipe 8 to feed a sludge from a sludge feeding tank 1 to the separation tank 3 via a feeding pipe 2. At this point, the sludge flows down through a drain pipe 4 and a chamber 11 to form a siphone. Then, as a pump 12 is driven, the sludge in the concentrated sludge discharging tank 16 is transferred outside creating a water level difference H2 between both tanks. This allows the sludge to flow down from a feeding tank 1 to the separation tank 3 and then to the discharging tank 6 whereby the floating sludge particle is floated away with a bubble of air dissolved. |
