PURPOSE:To form a faucet in which a ring for coupling a rubber ring is buried by inserting the end of heated plastic pipe onto a tamping rod in which a rubber ring- coupling ring is coupled to a tiered part and a rubber core is attached to the adjacent land part and then pressing it. CONSTITUTION:A rubber ring-coupling ring (a) is fastened to the tiered part 11 of a tamping rod 1, and a rubber core (c) is attached to the adjacent land part 12. The tip of the rubber core (c) is tapered T whose angle theta1 is made smaller than that theta2 of the upper taper 13: that is, theta2>theta1. Then, the heated end of a plastic pipe P is inserted onto the rod 1, whereby the diameter of the pipe P is expanded by the taper 13 of the rod 1 and slided on the rubber core (c). Since theta2>theta1, frictional force is effectively reduced. Then, when the end of the pipe P is pressed by an external mold 2 while it is soft, the rubber (c) is compressed and the ring (a) is bitten into the faucet. The faucet is hardened by cooling, the external mold 2 is opened, the end of the pipe P is taken out of the rod 1, the rubber core (c) is taken out, and the processing is completed. |
