The stile, bars access to footpaths by bicycles and mopeds and comprises two parallel horizontal stirrups, one above the other, U-shaped and of tube or bar material (14, 15). These are joined together at the arm ends while their uprights are mounted on a supporting column (13), which encloses the access opening, together with a further column (19). The distance between the sections of the top stirrup (14) can be greater than in the case of the bottom one (15) and the column (19) can be slightly in front of the stirrup bodies. The assembly formed by the stirrups can be arranged to pivot on a central column (13).
