For manufacture of castings, various types of cylindrical and spherical arrangements are well known, so-called feeders, adjoining the mould cavities, in order to compensate for the decrease in volume of metal alloys during solidification. The proposed arrangement enables a higher material utilisation by optimising the shape of the feeder arrangement. The invention is characterised in that the feeder is configured as a cross profile with acute or slightly rounded angles situated closest to its centre. <IMAGE> |
