PURPOSE:To amplify and convert a digital signal directly into a high-power analog signal efficiently, by constituting an amplifying circuit by making the most of characteristics of switching. CONSTITUTION:To obtain a one-bit equivalent circuit which corresponds to each bit, the series circuit of battery Ei and relay switch Si1, that of battery Ei' and relay switch Si2, and relay switch Si3 connected in parallel. Then, batteries Ei and Ei' are connected together having the same voltage and differing in polarity. Then, (i) one- bit equivalent circuits are connected in series and the voltages of batteries Ei and Ei' of every circuit are weighted by E0.i<i-1>. When switches Si1 and Si3 are turned on-off complementarily, the voltage applied to load P in this amplifier has an analog value. On the other hand, when switches Si2 and Si3 are turned on-off complementarily, the voltage applied to load P has the analog value differing in polarity from the said one. Inthis amplifier, the power loss of switches can be eliminated, so that the amplification conversion can be attained efficiently. |
