PURPOSE:To decrease the bulging of the coagulated shell of the outside circumference of an ingot to improve the quality of product by horizontally conveying an ingot drawn from a mold by means of plural sets of walking bars which grasp the top and under surfaces of the ingot and advance, release and retreat. CONSTITUTION:A cam shaft 28 revolves and a rotating lever 31 presses the projecting part 2a of an outer bar 2, then outer bars 1, 2 pressure-grasping an ingot 40 move together with eccentric shafts 5-8 in the 35 direction, thereby conveying the ingot 40 at a stroke S. Thence, the shafts 7, 8 revolve 90 deg. counterclockwise, thereby spacing the bars 1, 2 vertically by an eccentric rate E. Following to this, the shaft 28 releases the pressing of the lever 31 to the bar 2, and the bars 1, 2 keeping the ingot 40 released are moved by S oppositely from the 35 direction together with the shafts 5-8 by the normally pressing force of the cylinder 21 to the lever 25. Thence, the shafts 7, 8 revolve 90 deg. clockwise and allow the levers 1, 2 to pressure-contact the ingot 40. Alternately disposed inner bars 3, 4 operate oppositely in synchronization with the outer bars, and these sets alternately convey the ingot. |
