The coupling head is for a machine filling and/or processing vessels such as cylindrical kegs, having two coaxial sleeves sliding axially in relation to each other. When the keg is placed in position against spring action, a sealing ring on the outer sleeve bears against the union on the keg, and the valve plug in the union, spring-loaded shut, is lifted off its seat by the inner sleeve, and two passages are formed by the sleeves, leading to the keg interior separately. The outer sleeve is held by a spring against a stationary guide bush. Each sleeve (3,4) has passage openings (22,14) sealed shut in the ready position, and forming portions of the passage in the working position when the sleeves have been slid in the axial direction.
