The mechanism for rotating a vehicle-mounted tank of elliptical or rounded-corner rectangular cross-section comprises a set of supporting rollers at each end of the tank. Each set consists of two rollers (5) mounted on each of a pair of V-shaped frames (4), pivoted (7) on the vehicle chassis. The tank (6) is rotated by driving the rollers by way of a shaft, concentric with the roller frame pivot. Springs (8) hold the roller frame stable in an intermediate position when no tank is present.
