PURPOSE:To make possible smooth copying by a cassette and manual insertion by detecting the presence of manually inserted transfer paper and the biasing of transfer paper by way of two sets of detectors and making required controlling. CONSTITUTION:When the transfer paper 6 from a cassette 2 is fed via a resist roller 13 for the purpose of image transfer of a photosensitive drum 1, the absence of the transfer paper 6 is detected with a sheet detector 32 and the inhibition for manual insertion of transfer paper is released. When the transfer paper is inserted along the inside of the chamber of a manual insertion table 35-1, a microswitch MS1 provided with an actuating piece 36 detects this, and the paper feed mode to the cassette 2 is inhibited. This transfer paper is conveyed up to the roller 13 by the 1st roller 11, and when a copying button is operated, it is conveyed to the transfer position via the roller 13. On the other hand, when the switch MS1 detects the transfer paper and the detector 32 does not, it is decided as biasing and the roller 11 revolves reversely. |
