PURPOSE:To improve average signal electric power by suppressing fluctuations of bit distribution by converting PCM codes into codes having an array of mutually complementary word bits. CONSTITUTION:Signal 7 is supplied to amplitude detector 11 to generate a control signal and codes generated by AD converter 12 are made into complementary numbers by circuit 13 to close switch 14, thereby supplying the output of AD converter 12 to output lead 15. Receiving DA converter 20 outputs a level which agrees with one of respective level codes from ROM21 and output 29 is obtained via integrator 28. In this case, codes of adjacent words showing current quantization levels should be complementary substantially. Thus, the electric power capacity of the circuit can be increased. |
