PURPOSE:To improve the tolerance to noise, etc., by suppressing variation of bits, by encoding PCM codes having a sequence of bits varying diversely according time by utilizing the properties of complementary numbers. CONSTITUTION:The output of signal source 5 is encoded into a binary number by AD converter 6 and output 13 is obtained via circuits 8, 10 and 11. In this case, LSB of the code is found ''0'' by LSB detecting circuit 7, the output of AD converter 6 is converted into a code having level 1/2. When the output of LSB detecting circuit 7 is ''1'', on the other hand, switches 9 and 12 are opened to make it into complementary number '' -1''. For reception, transmission output 13 is received by MSB circuit 18 and the operation inverse of the said transmission is carried out. In this case, ''+1'' adder 22 is opened when the output of MSB circuit 18 is ''1'' and the input is recovered into the original binary code, which is then decoded by DA24. |
