PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch detection apparatus configured to prevent reduction in accuracy of detecting approach or contact of an object, and a display device with touch detection function.SOLUTION: A touch detection apparatus includes: a plurality of drive electrodes extended in a first direction and arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction; a plurality of detection electrodes extended in the second direction and arranged in the first direction, to form capacitance at intersections with the drive electrodes; a scan driving unit which sequentially selects predetermined number of drive electrodes to be applied with driving signals, in time series, from the drive electrodes, to perform scanning at a scan pitch smaller than the total width of a driving range which includes the selected drive electrodes; and a coordinate correction unit 46 which corrects a detection position in the first direction by use of correction information to be determined from a relationship between an input position where an external object comes close to or in contact with a touch detection surface, and detection positions to be detected by the detection electrodes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
