WORK DEVICE AND SEAL METHOD OF REACTOR PRESSURE VESSEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal method of a reactor pressure vessel capable of further suppressing diffusion of radioactive dusts.SOLUTION: A work device 40 installs on a base part 41, a plug fitting device 42, a fuel debris take-out device 48, a plug storage part 55 storing a plug 36, and a sheet storage part 56 storing a sheet 37. A ring-state sheet storage container 53 storing a folded and cylindrical-state sheet 54 is attached to an outside face of the base part 41 while surrounding the base part 41. The work device 40 drops in a reactor pressure vessel (RPV)3 and is stopped below a nozzle 2A of the RPV 3. The cylindrical sheet 54 covers an inner face of the RPV 3 between an upper end of the RPV 3 and the base part 41. The plug 36 which is gripped by a gripping tool of the plug fitting device 42 is pushed into the nozzle 2A from an inside of the sheet 54, for sealing the nozzle 2A. The sheet 37 gripped by the gripping tool is stuck to an end face on an inner face side of the RPV 3 of the plug 36 and an inner face of the RPV 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
