PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunochromatographic device capable of reducing background noise and improving visibility, in order to clearly detect a signal of a substance to be detected.SOLUTION: The immunochromatographic device includes a membrane having a detection area where an antibody or antigen is immobilized as capture material capable of capturing a substance to be detected. Using the antigen or antibody labelled by a labelled carrier being colored particles, the immunochromatographic device forms a complex of the capture material-the substance to be detected-the labelled antigen or antibody, in the detection area, on the device, where the capture material is immobilized, to detect the substance to be detected by color of the labelled carrier. Pigment having color complementary to color of the labelled carrier is incorporated in a component of the device, in a dry state, so that the pigment spreads with a sample over the device when the sample spreads over the device.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
