<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled surfacing material useful for water-proof and durable upholstery by rolling and laminating an open-cell synthetic resin composition containing a stabilizer and a foaming agent on the upper surface of a lining material, laminating a perforated sheet on the former and subjecting the obtained laminate to foaming by heating. CONSTITUTION:An open-cell synthetic resin composition 4 obtained by adding a stabilizer consisting of sodium or/and potassium-containing organic stabilizer and zinc or/and calcium-containing organic stabilizer, anionic and cationic surfactant, or polyolefin such as low-polymerization polyethylene or wax. and thermally decomposing foaming agent such as azodicarbonamide, to a general-purpose PVC resin obtained by a suspension polymerization process as a main component, is calendered and laminated on the upper surface of a lining material 3. Next, a perforated sheet 1, having small holes 2 of diameter 0.8-2mm. at a perforation rate of 2-5%, is laminated thereon and the obtained laminate is introduced into a foaming furnace to obtain an air-permiable surfacing material with an open-cell synthetic resin composition 4 as an open-cell forming layer 4'.</p> |
