PURPOSE:To prevent the spilling of granulated substance as well as to save energy to be consumed without degrading the quality of the granulated substance by providing a curtain mechanism using jet air or water. CONSTITUTION:The jet stream of water and granulated substance are discharged in a mixed state from the discharge port of a granulated substance duct 14. Dropped onto a conveyer 10, and soon started to carry out, where no scattering occurs in the granulated substance because the lower part of the discharge port 14a of the conveyer 10 is covered with a covering member 18. Also, water is stored up to the height H because even water is dropped with the granulated substance on the conveyer 10 and its surrounding is covered with the cover 18 and a curtain mechanism 20, and water is dropped from the water leaking portion 18b of the cover 18 and a portion 10a, illustrated, of the conveyer 10, positioned above the height H, and discharged. By properly setting up the height H, the temperature of the granulated substance can be controlled at a value which is high enough to dry by itself but low enough not to grow grains. |
