PURPOSE:To stabilize the pressure of an ink within a short period in a charge deviation type multi-ink jet printing machine, by generating a gas within an ink distributing apparatus at the time when jetting the ink is started or the pressure of the ink is varied. CONSTITUTION:The ink fed into a liquid chamber 10a is filtered through a filter 11 into a liquid chamber 10b from which the ink is distributed into a plurality of heads 2. At the time when jetting the ink is started or the pressure of the ink decreased, the ink pressure is detected by a pressure sensor 5, a comparator 8 compares the level of the detected pressure signal from a pressure detecting circuit 6 and the level of a predetermined signal at a pressure standard setting circuit 7, and by this error signal a driving circuit 9 controls to pass an electric current through electrolytic gas generation electrodes 4a, 4b. The solvent of the ink will be electrolysed, and as the resulted gas will be accumulated in the upper part of the liquid chamber 10a to pressurize the ink surface, the pressure of the ink can be quickly increased to a prescribed jetting pressure at the time when jetting the ink is started or the ink pressure is varied. |
