PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in the workability of weld zone, and widen the applications of ferrite stainless steel by welding the ferrite stainless steel by a laser. CONSTITUTION:Sheets of the ferrite stainless steel consisting of <=0.08% C, <=0.03% N, <=0.75% Si, <=1.0% Mn, 16-25% Cr, and the balance substantially Fe is welded by a laser welding method. Then, the weld zone of good workability which exhibits better ductility than by TIG welding, and is superior in Erichsen value, hole enlarge test value and bending characteristics is obtained. |
