摘要 |
PURPOSE:To synthesize ammonia at a low temp. by reacting nitrogen with water under irradiated light in the presence of a semiconductor catalyst prepared by bringing semiconductor powder and platinum black powder or different kinds of semiconductor powders into contact with each other with a polymer binder. CONSTITUTION:When ammonia is synthesized from nitrogen and water under irradiated light in the presence of a semiconductor catalyst, the catalyst is prepared by bringing semiconductor powder and platinum black powder or different kinds of semiconductor powders into contact with each other with a polymer binder which is insoluble in water and permeable to water and nitrogen. The preferred binder is a hydrophilic polymer such as insoluble polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinylpyrrolidone. A mercury lamp or a xenon lamp is used as a light source, and the reaction temp. is regulated to 20-60 deg.C. |
