PURPOSE:A metallic traveler is plated with a high heat-conductivity metal on the uppermost layer to dissipate the heat produced by the friction between the traveler and the ring, thus preventing the overheating of the traveler and the yarn break. CONSTITUTION:The metallic traveler 1 is plated with a metal with a thermal conductivity of higher than 0.8cal/cm.s. deg.C on the uppermost surface, at least the surfaces where the yarn passes and the ring comes into contact, preferably plated with silver in a thickness of 1-20mu, e.g., by the electroplating method. EFFECT:The life of the traveler is prolonged amd simultaneously yarn breaks are reduced. |
