PURPOSE:To improve the broad angle radiating characteristics, by constituting a part of all the surfaces of a support as a special shape. CONSTITUTION:In a Cassegrain antenna, the main reflecting mirror side of a support 4, and in a parabola antenna, a part or all of surfaces of a reflecting mirror side of the support 4, is constituted with a plurality of planes 8 which are orthogonal to the planes including the longitudinal direction of the support 4 and the progressing direction of the plane waves 5, and as shown in Fig. (b), the shape of the cross section within an arbitrary plane including said two directions is the same and the surface of the antenna has irregular unevenness consisting of longer side than the wavelength. With the constitution like this, the scattered waves due to the support 4 are represented with the synthesis of reflecting waves 10 by the planes 8 and the diffracted waves by edges 7. Since the planes 8 are orthogonal to the plane including the both of the progressing direction of the plane waves 5 and the longitudinal direction of the support 4 and are constituted with a plurality of planes toward irregular directions, the reflecting waves 10 are scattered and the diffracted waves are almost uniformly scattered to a wide region. |
