PURPOSE:To enhance the uniformity in molding and vulcanizing a tyre and enhance sealing properties and shock-absorbing properties by a method wherein an upper ring is moved in the vertical direction by relative rotational motions of a screw threaded shaft and a nut, and a hydraulic shock absorber is provided. CONSTITUTION:The central mechanism 10 for vertically moving the upper ring 18 which holds the upper end part of a bladder 11 is comprised of a bush 38 connected to the upper ring 18 through a coupling rod 17, the nut 38 to which the bush 38 is screwed, the screw threaded shaft 35, a key or spline 30 for converting the rotational motions of the shaft 38 into vertical motions of the nut 37, and the hydraulic shock absorber 52 for absorbing the shocks of mold clamping pressure or those of a motor 32. When the threaded shaft 35 is rotated by driving the motor 32, the nut 37 is moved vertically in a cylinder tube 14, whereby the upper ring 18 is moved vertically. Since the mechanism is of a mechanical system, it can be sealed easily and tyres can be vulcanized uniformly. |
