The invention relates to a conveying device for heavy loads through the use of pressurized fluid as an air cushion between the load and a foundation surface formed by a hauling track 10 which is movable relative to the load 22. By means of the invention, a device is obtained which enables the load to be conveyed over uneven foundation surfaces without the need for surface smoothness of the ground surface. This is made possible by the fact that the hauling track 10 is formed by a grooved track 10 which is extended substantially in the direction of conveyance, is preferably provided with side flanges 11 and is configured with an airtight, flat top slide face 10A and which is arranged to be supported movably along and at right angles to the direction of conveyance and whose surface contactable with a ground surface 23 has a length exceeding the length of the device, the said track 10 being supportable and displaceable relative to the device by means of rolling members 8, which are supported by the device, are preferably driven with the grooved track 10 and cooperate, for example, with its side flanges, and by the fact that the device comprises supporting legs 2, the length of which is variable. <IMAGE> |
