PURPOSE:To form a sharp copy image superior in texture evenness and low in fatigue before exposure, by adding urazole and CaCO3 into a photoconductive layer containing ZnO dispersed into a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer contains ZnO and up to about 35wt% CaCO3 based on the total wt. of both, and 0.025-0.05wt% urazol based on the ZnO in place of ZnO, besides, a sensitizing dye, such as phthalein dye, and about 17wt% binder resin, such as acrylic resin. This layer is formed by coating its dispersion liquid on plain paper to form an electrophotographic receptor. Use of CaCO3 reduces a necessary amount of urazol, reders it unnecessary to add MnCl2, and permits a photoreceptor for use in ''Electrofax '' capable of forming a sharp image free from background staining to be obtained at low cost. |
