PURPOSE:To obtain stable pictures in succeeding copying operation by applying high voltage to electrodes in a cycle which is applied prior to copying, after the rotation of a drum becomes stable. CONSTITUTION:In pretreatment before starting copying operation, voltage is applied to a charge electrode 3, a copying electrode 7 and a separation electrode 8 at a time t1 which is delayed from starting of a drum 1 at a time t0 by time DELTAt necessary for stabilization of rotation of the drum 1. The delay time DELTAt is set at, for example, 100mS and securing of this time DELTAt is made by delaying the relay for making control of high voltage power source using a timer for exclusive use. By this way, potential on the whole surface can be made uniform, and the photosensitive drum is exposed to obtain uniform, stable pictures. |
