MANUFACTURE OF DIAPHRAGM FOR PRESSURE DETECTION

PURPOSE:To easily give tension required by a metal diaphragm by a method wherein a metal diaphragm is fixed between a pair of rings, while said rings are compressed to give tension to a metal diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:An upper mold 17 is pressed down on an end elevation 12b of a ring 12 by driving a press device to apply a load P to the rings 12 and 13 in a state holding a metal diaphragm 11 between for compressing said rings 12 and 13. Thereby the rings 12 and 13 are transformed to extend in and out of a diameter as shown by an arrow. Accordingly in said compression the inner diameters of the rings 12 and 13 can be extended by the amount as required by propperly etting a friction factor of the load P, the end elevations 12b and 13b of the ring and the molds 16 and 17 thereby giving tension to the metal diaphragm.
